How we started

Year 1998. Our initial plan was to invite people from all over the world to discover and photograph this magnificient animal, the Black Bear.....

How Richard became the Bear Whisperer.

Year 1999 was a turning point! A 3 month old female bear, still on mothers milk, became an orphan. She adopted Richard as her mother. Every time he was going to the site, she was following him as a puppy dog follows his master. She grew up, became a mother of 2 charming cubs which she introduced without hesitation to Grandaddy Ritchie. She eventualy became a grandmother.....

Typical Day

We bring our guests with a shuttle bus to a secure and comfortable viewing tower. NO WALKING. You will enjoy viewing this magnificient animal at it's best. . Very different from the zoo. Here they are free to come and go as they please. Big male bears, mothers and cubs. You might see cubs nurse on mama bear, play, go up trees, sometimes fight. As for the big ones, it is quite a show also...
As we want to keep the bears in their natural environment, the driver goes back to point A for the duration of the activity which is 2 hours. Note: the driver can be contacted at any moment if needed.
