After working as a secretary for two years,she went to work with the largest bus company in Belize. First as receptionist, then moved on to charters and accounting. In 1988, she decided to work alongside her partner in creating a successful tour operation called Melmish Mayan & Eco Tours. Offering tours, hotel reservations, inland flight reservations and ground handling services for operator in Canada at that time named PS Holidays, Fiesta Holidays presently known as "Signature Vacations." Also working alongside Global Ground Transportation who provides private charters all over the world, doing their ground transfers for VIP's.
